Ushbu o’quv qo’llanmada materiklar va okeanlarning umumiy tabiiy geografik xususiyatlarini tavsiflash, ularning geografik o’rni, chegaralari, o’rganilish tarixi, geologik tuzilishi, muzliklari, rel’efi, foydali qazilmalari, iqlimi va iqlim mintaqalari, ichki suvlari, tuproq, o’simlik va hayvonot dunyosi, tabiat mintaqalari, antropogen landshaftlari va tabiatni muhofaza qilish tartibida berilgan. Umumiy tabiiy geografik tavsifdan keyin materiklarning regional tavsifi berilgan. Okeanlarning tabiiy geografik tavsifi Dunyo okeani tabiatining asosiy xususiyatlari - okean tagining geologik tuzilishi va rel’efi, suvlari, okeandagi hayot, okean yuzasidagi va okean tagidagi geografik zonalar, okean tabiatini muhofaza qilishning asosiy muammolari tizimida yoritilgan.

Foundations of Fluid Mechanics

The imagination is stricken by the substantial conceptual identity between the problems met in the theoretical study of physical phenomena. It is abso- lutely unexpected and surprising, whether one studies equilibrium statistical mechanics, or quantum field theory, or solid state physics, or celestial mechanics, harmonic analysis, elasticity, general relativity or fluid mechanics and chaos in turbulence. So that when in 1988 I was made chair of Fluid Mechanics at the Università La Sapienza, not to recognize work I did on the subject (there was none) but, rather, to avoid my teaching mechanics, from which I could have a strong cultural influence on mathematical physics in Roma, I was not excessively worried, although I was clearly in the wrong place. The subject is wide, hence in the last decade I could do nothing else but go through books and libraries looking for something that was within the range of the methods and experiences of my past work.

Geografiya Yer yuzasi tabiati, aholisi va uning xo'jalik faoliyatini o'r- ganuvchi fan bo'lib, u eng qadimgi, lekin doimo yangilanib boruvchi xususiyatga ega. Zamonaviy sharoitda geografiyaning amaliy ahamiyati tobora ortib bormoqda. O'zbekiston Respublikasi oliy ta'lim muassasalariga o'qishga qabul qilish bo'yicha Davlat komissiyasining 2019-yil 19-dekabrdagi 11-son bayoniga ko'ra 2020/2021-o'quv yilidan boshlab geografiya fani 15 ta ta'lim yo'nalishida kirish imtihonlari qatoriga kiritildi. Bu geografiya ta- rixida muhim o'zgarishlardan biri bo'ldi desak mubolag'a bo'lmaydi.

Fluid Mechanics and Machinery

This book Basic Fluid Mechanics is revised and enlarged by the addition of four chapters on Hydraulic Machinery and is now titled as Fluid Mechanics and Machinery. The authors hope this book will have a wider scope. This book will be suitable for the courses on Fluid Mechanics and Machinery of the various branches of study of Anna University and also other Indian universities and the Institution of Engineers (India). Professor Obert has observed in his famous treatise on Thermodynamics that concepts are better understood by their repeated applications to real life situations. A firm conviction of this principle has prompted the author to arrange the text material in each chapter in the following order. In the first section after enunciating the basic concepts and laws, physical and mathematical models are developed leading to the formulation of relevant equations for the determination of outputs. Simple and direct numerical examples are included to illustrate the basic laws. More stress is on the model development as compared to numerical problems.
