Брунова представляет собой переработанную лекцию, прочитанную автором в 1952 г. в Центральном лектории по архитек туре, организованном Союзом советских архитекторов совместно с Московским городским отделением Всесоюзного общества по распространению политических и научных знании. Содержание книги составляет ряд очерков, посвященных творческим особенностям отдельных выдающихся зодчих древней Руси, которые автор показывает путем анализа созданных ими архитектурных сооружений. С компанованные в хронологическом порядке очерки выявляют основные линия развития русской архитектуры с XII по XVII век включительно и устанавливают непрерывность русской архитектурной традиции и неизменную связанность ее с народным деревянным зодчеством.

В исследовании проведена оценка эффектов регуляторных режимов (тарифного регулирования и квотирования разрешений на перевозку) на рынке перевозок пассажиров и багажа легковым такси. Систематизированы методы регулирования рынка таксомоторных услуг с учетом международного опыта и его применимости на российском рынке. Раскрыты характеристики спроса и предложения на таксомоторные услуги. Представлена количественная оценка параметров взаимодействия спроса и предложения на рынке таксомоторных услуг г. Москвы. Выявлены антиконкурентные и проконкурентные эффекты тарифного регулирования и введения квотирования разрешений на осуществление деятельности по перевозке пассажиров и багажа легковым такси. В основе исследования лежат теории институциональных изменений, включая разработки по проблемам институционального проектирования и оценке регулирующего воздействия; теория организации рынков, в том числе концепции связанных и многосторонних рынков.
