Darslikda fanning nazariy asoslari, “tabiat - jamiyat” tizimining ekologik jihatlari, tabiiy resurslar, ularning turlari, biosfera va undagi jarayonlar, ekologik tizimlar, ekologik omillar to‘g‘risida atroflicha ma’lumotlar berilgan. Shuningdek, tabiat komponentlari-atmosfera havosi, suv, tuproq-yer, biologik, o4rmon va mineral resurslaming ahamiyati, zaxiralari, foydalanishning hozirgi holati, muammolar va yechimlari asoslangan. Darslikda muhofaza etiladigan tabiiy hududlar, ularning vazifalari, 0 ‘zbekistonda ekologik xavfsizlikni ta’minlash, ekologik siyosatning mohiyati, ekologiya sohasidagi xalqaro hamkorlik, ekologik ta’lim-tarbiya masalalari keng yoritilgan.
